Pistols 2 Pencils

On Wednesday, March 17, 2010 Youth Leaders representing the Young Visionaries Youth Leadership Academy's From Pistols 2 Pencils program, in collaboration with the Congregation Organized for Prophetic Engagement (C.O.P.E.) and the Boys and Girls Club of San Bernardino, will host a Town Hall meeting to address the issues of youth violence.  This event is open to the public.  The public is invited to interact, ask questions and give suggestions.  For more information, visit the Young Visionaries Youth Leadership Academy's Website at http://www.yvyla-ie.org

At the Town Hall Meeting, the Pistols 2 Pencils Youth will honor Dr. Martin Luther King,Jr.'s Six Principles of Non-Violence by proclaiming their Six Principles of Non-Violence Pledge which is to help by declaring April as National Teen Violence Awareness month.

In attendance at the Young Visionaries Youth Leadership Academy's Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, March 17th, 2010 will be Dr. Daniel E. Walker,PhD, author of the critically acclaimed book No More, No More: Slavery and Cultural Resistance in Havana and New Orleans (Minnesota University Press).

The event is open to the public. The public is invited to interact, ask questions and give suggestions.

All You Can Eat Cajun Style Fish & Entertainment Dinner

You're invited to an All You Can Eat Cajun Style Fish & Entertainment Dinner Friday, July 23rd, 2010 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Mardi Gras restaurant, 201 N "E" Street, San Bernardino, CA 92401.

Admission:  Preodered tickets are just $30 per person and are available at the Young Visionaries Office, 1616 N "D" Street in San Bernardino or $40 at the door.

Dinner starts promptly at 7:00 p.m.. Seating is limited.

Benefit ticket includes:  All you can eat fish dinner, entertainment, keynote speakers by the youth and automated entry for a door prize.

Attire:  All white

Your donation is tax deductible and all proceeds will go to the Young Visionaries Pistols 2 Pencils program
